Carhis is a male Sandshrew, later Sandslash caught by Lou Varan and living with the Varan Tereses family; at different times he is attached as a team member to the crews of Lou Varan or Adanei Varan.

Carhis' Character Concept originates from the Author's Pokémon Blue run and has grown to be defined as more or less a counterpart to Dintel ever since the latter's appearance in WAAPT. Carhis can be said to be an independent and somewhat disrespectful Pokémon who only mostly humors other people's presence in as much as they can provide him shelter and training. It is his perception of “shelter”, which includes being able to sleep anywhere he wants including on the sockets for a car's lights, that has led him to accept living with the Varan Tereses family.
