Pokéteco is Machalí sol Linaros's Noctowl (former Hoothoot) and his first catch. After Inka's retirement, Pokéteco unofficially takes the lead of the team, as Inka was never detached from her Poké Ball.
The character's name is a homage to Pokéteca, Bulbapedia's now-defunct Spanish sister wiki of which the Suocéverse author was once a contributor and librarian.
